I n 1850, Greeks came from Chios island to dry up the marshes. They stayed on and founded Alaçatı. Füsun and Murat Baskı are two educators from Ankara who travelled extensively with our book and site. They liked small hotels so much that they decided to open their own. They collected stones from derelict houses for their building and spent weeks getting the right shade of turquoise for the blinds. This attention to detail has produced beautiful results.

The rooms are spacious and airy. In the small but pretty garden, you'll find a gourmet restaurant. From the rich breakfast to salads and mezzes - not forgetting an outstanding fig dessert - the food is amazing.
