L ocated on one of Bozcaada’s picturesque streets, Evreka is a gem, more island house than hotel.

It is the result of a partnership between Saada Delen, whose “Ada’m” restaurant has won praise from numerous gastronomy magazines, and architect and developer Filiz and Çağlar Akarsu. They knocked down an old non-descript building and replaced it with a beautiful new one in harmony with local architecture.

It was then carefully decorated, inside and out, and turned it into “grandma’s house” with specially made floor tiles and wallpaper, handpainted door handles, lace curtains. The aim was to create a home atmosphere and they succeeded. All mod cons are available of course, but none of the usual hotel clichés. As expected at grandma’s, a sumptuous breakfast is on offer. Saada showcases her culinary talents with different böreks every day, served with dozens of jams as well as delicious cheeses. The hotel is open all year.
